When looking for a 4wd vehicle, they don't arrive that specific. You terminate up wasting a lot of time trying to find the proper one. They demand to break down their components, and brand it easier. As well would exist squeamish if the engine size was an boosted component to look for.

The site is easy to browse with no hassle. Y'all become multifariousness of cars to choose from at affordable prices. The Web page is user friendly I guess even an old person can apply it. They requite you lot all the details you need like mileage, features of the car, service information, interior and outside pictures of most of the cars advertised.

I wish I read the reviews before I employed AutoTrader to marketplace my bike. I am convinced that this site does zip but solicit to criminals and scam artists. AutoTrader takes no steps to validate offers and ensure people or groups contacting you are non criminals. Over the terminal few weeks I've been approached by 20-30 criminals trying to scam me out of money or my wheel. Seller beware! Non a practiced company or site. I have Aught real (non criminal) interests.

I advertised a mobility van and afterward listing the vehicle and paying the fee, I establish the search filter did not pull only mobility vehicles. Very terrible search engine. The search filter should be easily seen selection not imbedded in advanced features and they should merely pull mobility vans if selected.

Autotrader may be peachy for dealers simply terrible for private sellers. My ad never appeared at the top and I received no legitimate contacts. The outset week I received 3 texts and two emails merely the texts were conspicuously scams to get me to subscribe to some random VIN service to validate instead of carfax. The emails were archetype scams to deliver a auto and receive payment through PayPal. It seemed that information technology was always a person stationed somewhere random with limited communication abilities who was buying a 29k car for a relative. Later the first week of scam contacts I received cipher else. I ended upward selling the machine through Craigslist. After a calendar week I had a valid offer. Much cheaper and legitimate local offers. Would not recommend Autotrader.

Feb 22, 2020, I purchased a 2011 Ford F-150 4x4 three.5l ecoboost from our salesman Blake **. We arrived to find out that it wasn't the truck in the Facebook advertisement. Information technology was similar, just had unlike features and drivetrain. Test drove and liked the truck anyway. Information technology had a rattle while test driving, salesman assured me it was something in the glove box and there was stuff in there so I went along with it.
Got to the finance function and while going through that procedure, I was offered an extended warranty that was $lxx/calendar month & $200/deductible. I declined. (I declined due to the amount of cost it was adding and the dealership and salesman were recommended past family unit, so I didn't experience like they were hiding anything). Finance officeholder Truman insisted that I go the protection due to "Turbos can become out at any fourth dimension". He mentioned the turbos more one time. I declined and was happy with my purchase.
I returned home and left it parked while I drove and sold my other truck. Information technology was parked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Went to start it and drive it Th morning, it made a very loud rattling noise upon starting information technology. I reached out to Blake to inform him that it sounded like it was coming apart and started the process to bring information technology in and get a temp vehicle while they inspected mine.
Sonny in the Service department contacted me the post-obit Monday to tell me that information technology was reported when they took the vehicle in on merchandise that the turbos were making noise and the sales section did not want to fix it. That was the noise I heard and they recommend replacing both turbos. After a calendar week of going back and forth with Blake and service to effigy out what was going to be washed about the truck. Used Car managing director Jeremy reaches out to me to discuss the outcome and then said he needed to get upwards to speed.
Jeremy calls me today, several days afterwards, to tell me they're non going to repair it because information technology is non worth them doing. He gave me the option of dealing with the service department myself or he can endeavour to sell me another truck. He as well stated that he has not spoke to anyone in service to see what the actual problem is, but said that information technology's not worth fixing to HIM. Now 17 days later I am without the truck I purchased and facing thousands of dollars to repair the consequence that the Nissan dealership was aware of prior to my purchase. They were mendacious and lacking the integrity to rectify the situation. Information technology'due south very disappointing when you put your trust in someone only to be lied to.

I have placed an ad with Autotrader.com for several months now - and I have received very few responses. That'due south life. I get information technology. Yet, I got suspicious that the company was scamming me soon later on my advert ran. I got a couple email inquiries. I responded and no response dorsum - again no problem. That's life. So I but asked each person to answer dorsum that they got my email and even stated I think Autotrader is doing something fishy - NO Reply ever... It has been a number of responses that I accept asked this question to.
In one example, I responded ii-3 times with a prospective buyer. We were setting upward a time for that person to come and look at my car - then I sent a note with some availability and as well asked to reply fifty-fifty if non interested so I could validate authenticity. Zip replied. So either Autotrader is scamming people and sending fake e-mail to make them remember their ad is working and getting viewed or they are not screening emails every bit they land in their service agreement. Either way Do NOT utilize this site to sell yous car. There are so many better options.

I attempted to place an ad to sell my truck on Autotrader on a Mon. I paid $90 for their premium service (Ha!). By Wednesday, the ad hadn't appeared and I became concerned, partly because they were quick to "greenbacks" my payment. I wrote an email to their customer service expanse and received a respond apologizing for their error and promising to resolve the trouble within "24-48 hours" (Now THAT'S great customer service-NOT!). So I waited 48 hours...still no sign of my ad. So I wrote back to Autotrader, and received a respond instructing me to call their customer service department, which I did.
A very overnice lady did some searching, and more than searching, and more searching...and finally offered to begin the whole lengthy process of replacing the advertisement from scratch. It took me at least a half hour to etch the original ad, take pictures, etc., so I refused and asked for a refund. I was told information technology would have iii-five business days for them to process the refund (funny, it only took ane day for them to procedure my payment ). What an admittedly terrible customer experience.

Paid $l for an advertizing on Autotrader. Ad ran 6 weeks. Dainty automobile, good price, never got an inquiry. Lowered the cost. Bought another advertising. Never got a hit. Nobody wanted this car? Sent myself an inquiry through the site. Never got information technology. Borrowed a buddy'southward computer and sent an inquiry. Never got information technology. Contacted Autotrader to fix it. They couldn't. Asked them for my money dorsum several times. No response. I've sold cars on Autotrader earlier. Worked okay, only if it doesn't piece of work, you lose because they accept your money and you get cypher.

Bad site. And then filter is a joke, does not piece of work. When filling in the required inquiries it shows everything. Punch in v8 engine, 2.seven, litre, v6 shows up. Also they have Beta in red and the page jumps. In order to observe what you are looking for you accept to scroll through hundreds of vehicles. Finally you run across a V8 engine. I exercise non recommend this website.

I placed iii or 4 ads on Auto Trader and the only response was from a scammer trying to cheat me using a shipping fee ploy. I was expecting more but once used Auto Trader and tried to notice my own car, I soon realized why I was not getting whatever activity from ad. Fifty-fifty when I knew what I was looking for it was difficult to find.

I love Autotrader! (I imagine I might experience otherwise as a seller). The last car I bought—in 2018–, I was watching out for it for years, only and so saw Honda was no longer making it in the colour I wanted. So I began to expect for the concluding automobile made in that color, which would have been a 2017 left-over. Merely the cost for the car used, was barely $2,000 less than buying new! Then it fabricated sense to buy the new i. I found the car, cheers to Autotrader. At that place were but 4 left in California, one in Ohio, maybe 1 in Texas, and one in Staten Island, 1 hour abroad from me. I bought the one in Staten Island. As a heir-apparent, I thoroughly recommend Autotrader!

Just spoke to "manager" Cindy. My photo advertizing appears in ad with incorrect phone number. The manager would not run a correct ad with proper phone number for next publication. She replied that because the print ad (the little ad without photo) had the correct number! The photo ad is the ane people see. Many do not know, and should not have to look for the right number in that lilliputian print advertising. Have placed many advertisements over the years and someday such a blatant error made the publishers comps you an ad. No calls from this ad....wonder why? Terrible customer service. Volition never advertise here once again!

I've simply received one serious private party interested in my fantabulous condition well priced clean title SUV. Many eastward-mails that show to be dealers looking to pick upward a machine below blue volume value to resale. Beware - for y'all individual party sellers that the majority of the interested inquiries are dealers looking to lowball you. Even had one ask if I owed anything (none of their business) and if I wanted to make it to a new vehicle with his dealership. No give thanks you. Save your fourth dimension and coin by selling on other online sites if you are a individual seller looking to go what your motorcar is worth selling to some other individual party. Autotrader is not what it in one case was.

Evidently the sales people are non commissioned and could intendance less near customers. Having tried several dissimilar AT dealerships and finding dainty merely useless sales people leads to this conclusion. Asking for the simplest of things results in sales people suggesting that the request is incommunicable. Things like sending a copy of the "inspection" that "all cars" go through or fifty-fifty something as uncomplicated as sending photographs of wheels to show bodily condition. Stay as far away from AT as possible. If you lot are a car enthusiast avoid them like the plague...

I have a 2011 AWD Dodge Durango Citadel model with every choice in perfect status with great pictures and write-up. In xi days of the ad being posted online, it has only received 20 views! I have received a dozen or more inquiries from people only interested in receiving my email address and phone number, with zero questions about the automobile. The inquiries are generally very brief in broken English simply asking for me to contact them via their Gmail account with my telephone number. These are only scammers harvesting e-mail addresses and phones numbers to sell to identity thieves. When I brought this upwardly to Autotrader and told them I wanted my money back, they only offered me 50% back. This has been a full waste of my time and coin. This previous icon in the car business organisation needs to find a way to get to legitimate buyers or they're going to continue to become downwards in flames.

When I chosen to ask for a refund they said it was past the 48 hour timeframe for a refund. How would y'all know if it'southward crap in 48 hours? Used Autotrader website for the 2nd time; both times I was able to locate an exact car that nosotros were looking for, AND not get a lot of other cars that we were not interested in. We now accept ii cars we both love, and the website was the difference. I tried two other websites; CarGurus and cars.com and they both were inferior to the Autotrader site, as far as exact requirements listed were concerned.

Unfortunately, this is now a failing business who doesn't pay for their pay-per-click marketing and fails to verify their international scammers. Afterward paying $240 to postal service two ads I take received 12-fifteen emails from nothing merely scammers who can barely formulate coherent sentences. I really wish I would have looked at this webpage & reviews before dropping $100 on Autotrader. I got naught but scammers from the advert I placed there. In ii-months I did not get a single legitimate enquiry from this advertising. Oh, & their reporting tools are worthless. It reported zippo hard inquiries for both electronic mail & telephone number pulls merely I got both. All came from Southern California or Canada Area codes and I alive in Louisiana. I reported all the scammers and got the standard reply. I likewise reported the software problem on the reporting tools and got a reply that amounted to "Sorry, nosotros're working on it". Very sad state of affairs. You're better off placing an ad on FB. I sold information technology from in that location later on but ii-weeks.

I strongly recommend reading through all of the negative comments posted here by others, many of them mirror my experience almost verbatim. Past the way, Autotrader has known for years nearly all the overseas scam "buyers" who inundation your inbox just they accept done zip virtually it. I listed a relatively new vehicle in peachy shape way below its blue book value for merely over two months and these were literally the just kinds of "buyers" I heard from. "Squeamish production you lot've got there, fellas."
Also, if yous are looking to sell your vehicle outright, i.e. non merchandise it in to purchase/charter from a dealer, don't waste your time with the Kelley Blue Book "instant cash offering". You get a agglomeration of emails from local dealer "partners" who say they need inventory and want to buy your vehicle, but the minute you tell them you lot won't be purchasing a new i from them, you never hear from them once again. The offer is very misleading, and supports some of the comments by others that AT sold out to the dealerships long ago. Autotrader, you lot are a very dishonest organization.

I used Autotrader 5 times in the past to find first-class cars from individual sellers. Private sellers are easy to work with and the prices are iii-5 grand dollars cheaper than a dealer. They have now been bought out past the large dealers and no longer offer private seller searches. Adieu Good day Autotrader. Will not be using you over again, ever.

OVERVALUATION. They value your automobile loftier, y'all don't sell, they make additional advertising revenue when you upgrade. MISLEADING PRICE SIGNALS. 80% plus of their acquirement comes from traders so they structure products for them. So for example the good cost/great cost comparison icon is only offered to traders. if you know your behavioural scientific discipline that means traders can pay for priming. your automobile may be amend value than merchandise equivalent, but thats tough. Interestingly Autotrader say there is no evidence to suggest the pricing bespeak negatively impacts private sellers. And so question is inevitably why offer information technology? Clearly they recognise someone is losing out, traders paying for a service that doesn't piece of work or private sellers not getting the impact they retrieve they accept paid for.
EXPENSIVE. They use price architecture to encourage you to buy more expensive products. E.g. Ii weeks for £40 or 6 weeks for £70. Our primitive brains say bargain. We follow the about people choose road, more than behavioural science. Y'all may exist better off using gratuitous services similar RAC, tootle, Webuyanycar.com (much better than they used to be), Gumtree before you spend coin on AutoTrader.
